This project aims to develop an advanced performance assessment and optimal design framework for structures addressing the intrinsic changes of material and geometric properties as well as operational conditions. Unified analysis and design models as well as powerful solving methods will be devised for a wide class of structures in multi engineering areas. The expected outcomes fill the current knowledge gap and enable engineers to be equipped with versatile analysis methods and sustainable design platform for more sustainable structure and infrastructure systems which are one of the backbones of economic growth and sustainable development of modern society.
