Highly Stable Lead Free Double Perovskites for Photovoltaic Applications

The project aims to solve the most pressing degradation issue in perovskite solar cells, by developing robust, non-toxic lead-free double perovskite materials. The technology would lead to simple, low cost environment friendly perovskite solar cells with high power conversion efficiency and excellent long term stability. The project aims to optimize the material and device fabrication processes to incorporate these newly developed materials into the solar cells successfully. The structure-property relationship of these new classes of materials would be investigated, providing the pathway for futuristic advancements in low cost photovoltaic technology.
